The requirements for children travelling to or from the Republic of South Africa are aimed at giving effect to the Children’s Act, 2005.
Upon arrival at South African ports of entry, any person younger than 18 years of age must on request produce his/her supporting documents to
enter or leave the Republic, regardless of his/her nationality. The documents are not required where the child is in direct transit at an
international airport.

The South African Embassy in Seoul can assist with signing a parental consent affidavit and certifying a photocopy of the supporting documents to be
produced to the officials at South African ports of entry. The deponent(s) of your parental consent affidavit must be physically present to the South
African Embassy in Seoul because our official will witness their signature as a Commissioner of Oaths. Affidavits and certified copies are done free of
charge, on the same day. Please note that the primary document of all the supporting documents (i.e. birth certificates, passports, etc.) must be presented
to our officials in original that day. The contents of your documents are NOT confirmed or verified by the Embassy.
